When I go to Arran - I like to meet Granny Joyce and Grandad Dave at the pier when the ferry comes in and I like finding out new things about Arran.

My Visit to Arran
I first came to Arran when I was 6, I came by plane by myself, and Granny Joyce me me off the plane at Glasgow Airport, We took the a taxi and a train and finally the ferry before we reached Arran, when we got there I loved it! I came back the next year, and the next, and the next, in fact I've been coming back for 7 years and still haven't seen everything! Taken from 'Arran for Families'

I like pony trekking in Sannox. The pony I like best is Charlie, I always ride Tarquill. I can remember some of the others names......Arran, Lewis, Flin, Tarquill, Julius and Calum.

You have made a wise choice coming to Arran for your holidays. There is so much to see on this delightful Island lying in the Firth of Clyde that you may find it hard to choose what to visit first and not to miss anything. When our little Grandsons Ben and Laurie, were staying with us in Whiting Bay they said we should write our own book with drawings and notes of the places they liked best. This is the result.
Our book is for children, Mums and Dads, Grans and Grandads and anybody who loves Arran, or is on their first visit. There are also many sharing our love of the island who, maybe, can no longer pay frequent visits. This book could be a present to remind them of all the happy times they have spent here in this special place. Taken from 'Arran for Families' |
